Carabeo Vista Mar

We keep coming back to this building in January, and have stayed here with our dog for the last two years. We’re booked again for this coming January and hope to keep returning. The views are spectacular, and the accommodation is among the best you’ll find in Nerja. There’s private access to the beach below, which is still lovely to use in winter when the sun is out. The management team has always been friendly, helpful and flexible when we’ve needed to change dates or add days to our stay. Private parking is a real plus since we drive down from Ireland. It’s on Calle Carabeo, close to the Centro and Balcon de Europa. See you soon, Nerja!

We returned to Nerja and Caraboe Vista Mar after having such a good time on our first visit, and this stay was just as good. The apartment had everything we needed. A couple of small repairs came up, but they were taken care of straight away. We’ve only had positive dealings with Frank and the others at the office, and we’ll definitely stay again.

COVID stopped me from travelling the first time, and after an unpleasant exchange with the owner Frank, I was allowed to move the booking. When COVID still kept me from travelling on the new date, I asked to change it again, but Frank refused. I lost my €450 deposit, and he said he’d lost €1000. I can only say he was thoroughly horrible and nasty to deal with. He has no idea how to manage customer expectations. I’d suggest booking with someone who won’t treat you like s**t. A lot of reviews also seem to say his apartments don’t live up to expectations.

For a beautiful apartment where you can wake up and fall asleep beside the ocean, this is the place to choose in Nerja. Galit and Frank are charming, helpful hosts and have plenty of ideas for activities. I highly recommend it.
