Hostal Boutique Bajamar

It's in a good location and feels quite modern. The room and bathroom were both really spacious, but the bedding let it down. The sheet looked washed but old and stained, and I found someone else's hair underneath. There wasn't anywhere to hang beach towels either.

The location is amazing, and the street stays quiet. The rooms are modern and basic, with a big bathroom. If you're staying at the hostel, check-in is at the nearby hotel. I would've liked a mini fridge and a bench for putting things, since the room's bench is meant for makeup.

We couldn't sleep at all on the first night because the bed was so uncomfortable. There was hair in the bathroom and the towel was dirty, too. When we asked to switch rooms the next morning, staff didn't seem to care. We decided to leave and asked for a refund, but they refused to return any of the prepaid nights. There are lots of great places to stay in this city, so don't let this one spoil your holiday.

We usually stay at Hotel Bajamar, but left it too late to book, so tried Hostal Bajamar around the corner instead. It had been redone about two years ago, and the rooms were lovely, with walk-in showers, a huge bed and a little street-facing balcony. There's a small pool, and guests can also use the rooftop pool at Bajaamar Hotel if they want. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.
