No, it didn't. Last week, a medical problem meant we had to postpone our trip until this weekend. I thought the hotel had kindly changed the booking to today, but after a two-and-a-half-hour drive we arrived to find no room had been reserved. My wife has COPD and became distressed, so we had to sit at a restaurant table across the road. Being so far from home, we had no choice but to book the next cheapest nearby hotel, at just over twice the price. The receptionist showed no remorse and didn't offer an apology. The “local parking” is anything but local: it's a long walk to a dusty lot with no security, so I might as well park on the beach. Needless to say, I'll never book here again.

The check-in was slow and odd, and the room smelled strongly of cleaning products, with a window looking onto the courtyard. Motorbike parking is less than a minute's walk from the hostel entrance. The beach is a 15-minute walk away, and the nightlife area is five minutes on foot.

The hostel manager greeted us warmly. Our room was clean and tidy, with a fridge, kettle, microwave, three single beds, a shower and towels. It was very basic, but comfortable for our overnight stay and close to all amenities. There was a lovely view from the terrace too. Altogether, a pleasant, very cheap stay. I'd recommend it and stay again.

The terrace was nice, and Manolo, the manager, is a nice guy. For around €30 it would be pretty good if the Wi-Fi worked, though my deposit receipt was kind of pitiful. Better value can be found a block either way.
