The rooms have a minimalist design, with very comfortable beds and nicely fitted bathrooms. If you’re lucky, you might get the first-floor room with a balcony overlooking the sea. I still remember my first stay here, looking out over the whole town of Maro as it stretched into the blue Mediterranean. It was a lovely little hotel then, owned by a very nice German couple.

The Elephant room has an incredible view, and everything inside was spotless and high quality. I loved the African style, especially the beautiful elephant paintings. There’s wifi too, which is handy if you’re a digital nomad. Most of all, you really need to meet the owner. She’s such a positive, energetic person with a great sense of humor!

A nice small hotel with a wonderful sea view. The nights weren’t very quiet, though, because of noise from the Appartement on the roof.

We came in January and even managed to enjoy some beach sunshine. Maro itself was so peaceful, and the room, Granada, was beautifully renovated in a very picturesque building. A perfect weekend away with your partner.
