Hotel Toboso Chaparil

The staff are what make this hotel special for us. Reception, restaurant, cleaning, and maintenance all gave first-class service. Breakfast was good too. We had great weather, and there are lots of bars around the hotel, with the Balcon only a short walk away. There were a few noisy guests, and kids playing football in the square behind the hotel, but we still had a great stay. One tip: Laureles Cafe behind the hotel is definitely worth a visit.

Just got home after a week here, and I’d definitely return. The hotel is very central, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. It’s extremely clean and modern, and everyone was lovely and helpful, from the room attendants to the dining room staff. We only had breakfast, but it was fresh every morning, with lots of choice and a smiling good morning. Nothing was too much trouble. Wolfgang and the girls at reception were especially helpful, sorting out our return bus transfer and sharing information about things to do in Nerja. Fabulous hotel.

We found the location exactly what we wanted, about eight minutes from the square. Breakfast was brilliant and the hotel facilities were good. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. There wasn’t a fridge in the room, but they let us use one in the kitchen. We had an excellent stay.

The rooftop terrace was a great place to relax, with plenty of sunbeds and a small pool for cooling off. I just wish it stayed open later in the evening. The hotel was very clean, the rooms spotless, and the staff genuinely service-minded and nice. It’s a pleasant hotel in a reasonably good spot, only minutes from the nearest beach. Our triple room had no balcony and felt quite small for three people. Parking was another drawback, as there are no dedicated spaces. Finding somewhere to park in Spain can be a nightmare, so expect to spend up to an hour looking for an available spot.
