We spent a lovely week away from the hustle and bustle. I went with my dad and my girlfriend, and the villa was a pleasant surprise. Everything felt just right. The kitchen was tidy and well equipped, the rooms were basic but had what we needed, and the bathroom and shower room were smart and modern. The pool isn't heated, but after days reaching 30 degrees, I was glad of that. The drive up to the villa was almost like a rally track, which hadn't been advertised. Anyone who isn't confident behind the wheel might find it scary. There were ants all over the property, including in almost every room, the shower rooms, bedrooms, and kitchen. I expect ants abroad, but not in so many places.

We rented this for two weeks in April. It was a lovely, clean villa with great views and lots of space, and the people looking after the apartment were fantastic. Just note that the pool isn't heated and the road beneath the motorway, heading towards the hill, is rough and bumpy for about half a kilometre.

We barely left the villa. The views kept us happy all day, with swimming, barbecues and reading filling the time. It feels secluded once you drive up the winding mountain track, and the grounds and pool are lovely. The kitchen is set up well for cooking, and there’s a decent AV system with a big Bluetooth speaker for playing your own music. A beautiful, high-end place to get away from everyday stress.
