Villa Sunshine

The photos are lovely, but the place is even more beautiful in person. I’m traveling with my ten-year-old son after his football camp, and we booked here after changing our flight at the last minute. The canyon road made him nervous at first since he’d never seen a place like it, but he soon lit up. He loved the pool and said it was the cleanest and most enjoyable one he’d ever been in. He also felt the hospitality and was interested to learn about what we’d call a bed and breakfast in the US. As his mom, I share his five-star feeling about villa sunshine. I’m glad his first stay in a canyon home, the countryside, or a B&B was here.

We had a great time here and would definitely stay again if we came back to the area. Jörgen and Charlotte are wonderful hosts. When our car had trouble and was at the mechanic, they helped us out. The villa is lovely, with a really relaxed atmosphere, and it’s a great place to spend a few quiet days. Jörgen is a fantastic cook, and the food was incredible. We brought our dog, who enjoyed the stay too, and they made her very welcome.

The rooms are on the small side, but the garden, terrace, pool, and all the cosy places to sit or lie down more than make up for that. You can wander freely through the large garden, and breakfast is delicious, with fruit and vegetables from it. The friendly, generous owners are a Swedish couple, and I’d definitely recommend eating there if you get the chance. The drive up to Villa Sunshine can be tricky, especially when cars are coming the other way. Still, I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting this region.

We finished our holiday here, and it was such a lovely way to unwind for a couple of days. The pool area has plenty of space, and doing yoga at sunrise was spectacular. Jörgen and Charlotte have big hearts and did everything they could to make us happy. Thanks for a great stay.
