Pensión Venus

My cousin was leaving the shower when the glass door shattered over him, leaving him covered in cuts. The owners said it was an accident and not their fault instead of apologizing. They called an ambulance after we asked for help with his injuries, but did nothing else. They wouldn't give us bandages, water, or rags to stop the bleeding. He was bleeding around the room, and they started vacuuming right away instead of helping, as if cleaning up the evidence mattered more. When we asked for a refund, they said they needed to call Booking.com first to make sure they got their commission. They also refused to help us find somewhere else for our family to stay, saying condescendingly, “you know where you are, there’s nowhere available”. They left my injured family out on the street without even offering to look for a place. These people seem to care more about money than their guests’ health. The business was terrible, the behavior rude, and there was no empathy. Edit: This owner is absolutely insane. Just read the reply to this review. The four most recent reviews are all one star, so we’re clearly not the only ones who had a bad experience. Hopefully we’re the only ones who had a life-threatening one.

The location is great, but that’s about it. My room was very old, with mediocre amenities that seemed ready to break. It needs a proper renovation before the price and location feel justified.

We loved eating at the cafe downstairs. The prices were good, and the food was delicious at any time of day. Our room was spacious, minimal, clean, and cozy, with free wifi, a big TV, a large bed, and even a desk. The owner was incredibly kind and went out of his way to help us. He was fun to talk with and ran things professionally, paying close attention to details and communication. That kind of care really adds to the comfort. The views were beautiful, the place is in the town center, and the prices were good. The service was incredible. Totally recommend it!

Jonathan made check-in easy and was so helpful. The location is great, and the rooms are large and clean, even if basic. They were also incredibly affordable. Such a great find and experience. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.
