The pool was a highlight, especially in summer: it's saltwater, and the house is carefully maintained and decorated with real character. We spent a week there in July and had a wonderful holiday. The garden is full of local plants, lovingly looked after by the hosts, who make sure everything is ready for guests. Casa Marlene sits in the old mining village of Rodalquilar, a lovely place to wander with charming corners and bars. Playazo beach, Las Negras with its lively nightlife, and Isleta del Moro are all about an eight-minute drive away. Pets are welcome if they're well behaved, and there's a barbecue too. We can't wait to come back. Thanks, Marlene and Antonio, for sharing your very special home.

Rodalquilar may be small, but it has a charm you don't find everywhere. The house was beautiful, cared for, and felt harmonious. Marlene and Antonio looked after us from the moment we arrived, with attention to every detail. A memorable stay we'd recommend to families, couples, or friends visiting southern Spain. Thanks for these wonderful days. We hope to do it again.

The house is peaceful and has everything you need for a few days of rest. It was even better than we'd hoped, after wanting to visit for quite a while. From the start, talking with Marlene felt like chatting with friends. Her beautiful home with her husband Antonio in Rodalquilar really does feel like a special, magical place. Thanks for letting us stay. The three of us send a big hug from Madrid, and we'll be back.

I celebrated my birthday there with my elderly parents, my partner, and a friend, and nobody wanted to leave. The house is spacious, comfortable, quiet, and almost magical, with everything thoughtfully provided. Marlene and her husband are two of the kindest, most charming people. Everything exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return.
