The gardens are lovely, full of cacti and succulents, and the rooms are comfortable with everything needed to make tea or coffee. Breakfast is a real treat: hot drinks, fresh orange juice, bread with preserves or ham and cheese, plus fruit, muesli and yoghurt. It would set you up well for a picnic too. A special place to stay.

The owner was helpful and suggested places to hike and have dinner. We had a clean, pleasant room and a generous breakfast, and the garden has a fantastic view. Wi-Fi was weak, though cellphone reception was good enough for a Zoom call.

The location worked so well for exploring Cabo de Gata. The village is a four-minute walk, with a grocery shop and plenty of places to eat, and several beaches are a short drive away. Two lovely beaches can also be reached on foot if you’re up for the effort. Back at this unique place, we found the room comfortable, clean, peaceful and easy to use. The pool, setting and views were incredible, the hosts knew the area and had great recommendations, and breakfast was brilliant.

Even in October the weather was sublime, and the area is great for walks and bike rides. The views and nature are beautiful, the breakfast was impressive, and it’s a fantastic place to slow down and de-stress.

The surroundings are amazingly beautiful, and it’s one of the few places in Rodalquilar with a pool. Breakfast was good too. Still, the place seems much worse than it used to be. Bags of rubbish and used bottles sat in baskets by the kitchen in the garden for days, and the bedroom smelled bad; the owner didn’t respond. Paying only in cash was inconvenient. There are better value places to stay in Rodalquilar now.
