The man at reception was welcoming. He showed us around the room and explained the TV and air conditioning. But the rooms were really dirty. From the balcony, all we could see was trucks, though even with the balcony door open, it wasn’t very noisy.

The restaurant was the one good part of this stay. It served tasty, honest Spanish food, and even managed a meal for my vegetarian wife, which can be notoriously difficult in Spain. The night receptionist was charming and helpful too. We were waiting for a nearby workshop to reopen on Monday after having trouble with our camper over the weekend, so we checked into Hotel Balisa. We were glad we had brought our own bedding and sheets. There were hairs on the sheet and in the bathroom, stains all over the walls and ceiling, and the shower head was broken, so the water came out only about 10 cm from the wall. At least we had heating, a Netflix TV, and hot water. Still, €62 a night for a double room with no breakfast was far too much. One of the morning staff wasn't helpful; when I mentioned the bed, she just shrugged. One of the worst hotels we've stayed in.

A small, fairly comfy motel by the A7 highway. Rooms are €27-30 with a discount for truck drivers. There's a shower and toilet at the nearby gas station...

It was clean, had good services, and was quiet enough for a hotel near the highway. The only thing I missed was a small fridge in the room.
