Apartamentos Villa de Noja

It’s a really good place near the beach, and there’s something here for all kinds of guests. The location is very good.

The pool was great, and we were happy with how comfortable the attic room was. It was very nice, though quite hot, as you’d expect in typical summer weather. The walk down to the beach is manageable, but coming back up is tough, especially if you go both in the morning and afternoon.

Rest was nearly impossible. A pub downstairs stays open until 6:00 AM, and the street noise carries on until 7:00 AM, by which time everyone has left. Traffic and street sounds are right below the apartment, and there’s no air conditioning. To reach the building, you have to climb several flights of stairs before getting to the elevator. The elevator fits only one person, with no room for a stroller.

The main drawback is the noise. The pub downstairs gets loud, and the busy street brings cars and drunk people late into the night. With the windows open, sleeping is IMPOSSIBLE, and the retirees playing cards in the bar make siesta time noisy too. The front-facing rooms are HORRIBLE. On the plus side, it’s near shops, restaurants, and Ris beach, though the walk back is uphill. Parking is easy in the area, and they provide a blue zone permit. The apartments have what you need, and the pool, while small, is very nice. They’re a bit old and not especially well maintained, but good for the area and price. The beds are passable, and the sofa bed is okay. There’s no air conditioning, which would be welcome for a few weeks in summer.
