Living in lovely Cantabria means we can come back to Hotel Pineda Playa often to rest and relax. We find it so therapeutic. Inside, it feels bright and spacious, and the smiling, lovely staff make you feel welcome, from housekeeping and front of house to the bar and restaurant teams. The views, the beach, sunrise and sunset are all superb. Town is a short walk away, though we’re usually happy to enjoy the hotel. There are lovely pueblos nearby if you feel like exploring. Sal and Barry We used to own an elite Casa Rural in France, so we know what we look for, and we found it here.

Breakfast had a great range and was superb, while dinner on half board offered just two starters and two mains. That’s not much choice, and sadly everything seems to come with chips. The waiters were very attentive without hovering, and Elena at reception was an absolute delight and a real mine of information. The sea views from the rooms are stunning if you choose that option. Superb little hotel. We’ll certainly return, hopefully with better weather next time.

Elena at the reception desk was so friendly, and we loved chatting with her. The reception staff were super nice in general. We enjoyed our stay, especially the cute room and its balcony view. Highly recommended :)

The location is great and the hotel is fine, but the plastic glasses in the room were cracked. I’d bought wine to watch the sunset from the balcony, and more of it ended up on the floor than in the cup. Such a waste, and really annoying. Surely they could provide proper glasses?

The accommodation was clean, the staff were good, and the view was wonderful. My only issue was breakfast: it could be better, with fresh bread and croissants. I’d recommend the hotel, but skip the breakfast.
