Las Olas

We found it way overpriced. The food was just okay, and the lobster rice, paella style, was mediocre at best. Staff were nice but inefficient, and we waited throughout dinner for drinks, then dessert, and even the bill. We also had to change our starters after ordering because the hostess realized some were sold out.

The beach in Noja is very close, and the village center is nearby too. The beach is lovely and cleaned daily. We also liked the restaurant more than expected: a fresh whole fish, regional white wine, and desserts came to 70€. The food was good and service was quick, apart from the bill, which seems typical for Spain. It's also the only restaurant in town with a non-Spanish menu. Breakfast was good, though some vegetables would improve it. Parking on the surrounding streets is possible for 6€ a day. From outside the building looks old and a bit ugly, but inside it's clean and perfectly fine. Most staff were friendly and helpful, except the people clearing dishes at breakfast. Be careful with the superior rooms unless noise doesn't bother you. They're on two floors directly above the restaurant, and the thin walls and floors let through every bit of cutlery noise until around 11PM, sometimes midnight. In the morning, you can smell the eggs and bacon from breakfast. The upper floor may be better, but we had some rough nights and little sleep. The rooms themselves are modern and clean. Standard rooms have no air conditioning, and the air conditioning smelled horrible for the first few minutes each morning.

The paella was the worst I've ever had. The first one was extremely salty, so we waited another 30 minutes for a replacement, which was dry and had no taste. After that we waited about 20 minutes for the bill and asked for a shot because of the long delay. They charged us 5EUR for a warm shot and said they wouldn't give it free because we'd ordered it. The service was very bad and it wasn't worth it. After being a guest for years, I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I only ate at the restaurant, I didn't stay at the hotel. The paella was bland and very average, and service was slow. We asked twice for the bill, then waited 20 minutes. The amazing beach view is the only reason I'm giving two stars. I'd suggest having a drink on the terrace instead of eating here.
