The restaurant food was just right, and the staff made sure I had breakfast even though I was leaving early. Reception arranged pastries, fruit and coffee in a thermos in the common area for me. That little gesture really made my trip. I’ve been travelling around Europe by motorcycle for a month, and this is the friendliest place I’ve stayed so far, also my favourite. The hotel is pretty and full of character, and the area is lovely. The staff don’t really speak English, like much of Spain, but they were patient and accommodating. I loved sitting outside with a few beers, looking over the valley and reading.

The rooms were clean, Covid protocols were followed carefully, and it’s a wonderful base for exploring the area. Food was the highlight: breakfast is very filling, and dinner is hearty, delicious home cooking. I’d recommend half board since other options are far away, and the menu has enough variety. I’m taking off a star because there are only a limited number of rooms with a Cama matrimonio, meaning a double mattress rather than twin beds. It was disappointing to arrive and find separate beds. Email the hotel in advance, and don’t rely on the booking reservation unless you’ve booked directly with them.

We had a lovely family stay, with plenty of places to visit nearby and beautiful countryside views. The Deluxe room was spacious, the staff were so friendly, and we really enjoyed the food. Definitely recommended. 😀
