Hotel Amandi

The family room was a two-bedroom suite. Its cleanliness and decor were good, and both rooms had modern, quiet air conditioning that worked well. There was only one TV, in one bedroom, and it was too small to watch from the bed. For four people, one toilet roll for the whole day wasn’t enough, haha. Reception will give you more if you ask, but having to ask isn’t ideal. The pool area was pleasant and fine, with fruit trees and a vegetable garden. It’s a bit dated, though that didn’t bother me. As with the other centrally located hotels in O Grove, you need to drive to Playa de la Lanzada and the other coves, unless you’re happy to swim at the small beach on the Ría, a five-minute walk away. On foot, there are supermarkets, shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, bars, and the port for boat trips nearby. The reception, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were all very friendly. I’ll remember this hotel fondly.

We found the rooms fine, though a small fridge would make them much better. The pool was great, and breakfast was complete and delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, but parking can be hard to find, so I’d recommend reserving a space.

It felt like being at home, with very friendly staff. The location is perfect, about 10 minutes from the seafood market, pier, and town centre. Breakfast was very good. I recommend it.

We came for a weekend away with our little one. The hotel is simple but very welcoming, with lovely staff and an excellent breakfast. It’s central and close to everything, and there’s a pool where you can relax.
