Albergue Espiritu Xacobeo

A clean, comfortable and welcoming place to take it easy for a night before Santiago. There’s a kitchen, plus two restaurants nearby and some takeaway options.

Isabel was kind about the changes I requested when booking, so things got off to a good start. The owners have thought of a lot of useful pilgrim comforts: each person gets a lockable cabinet, a little shelf with a bedside lamp and an outlet for charging a phone. There’s also hot tea in the well-equipped, spacious kitchen, and the bathrooms are roomy with enough of them. The place is bright, airy, spacious and sparkling clean. The owners even drive guests to the supermarket, repeating the trip as often as needed, and can order food from a nearby restaurant. I had a perfect stay, and it’s excellent value for the money.

The hosts even give guests rides to the nearby supermarket, which makes picking up food and supplies easy. They’re warm, welcoming and always willing to help, and the rooms at Albergue Espíritu Xacobeo near O Pedrouzo are spotless and comfortable. I had a wonderful place to rest on the Camino and felt right at home. Highly recommended to anyone passing through. Bruce Willis 😉

The albergue owner was amazing, friendly and helpful, and the place is well managed. It’s a great Camino stop in a cute little village. The beer garden at the other end of the village is pricey, but the food is great. Highly recommend!
