Hostal Louro

I booked through Airbnb and messaged a “friendly lady” called Emilia, but the person who greeted me was a mean old man, quick to list everything I could do wrong in his hotel. It doesn't feel like someone's home. It's a poorly maintained hostel with no kitchen and rude staff. Breakfast is offered, but with the cleanliness problems I saw, I wouldn't want to pay extra to eat there. My room was dirty, with hair in the bathtub and no soap, and the nightstand was dirty too. The place is central, but between a highway and train tracks, and our window faced the restaurant vent, so instead of fresh air we got a smell of who knows what. The WiFi was unstable and cut out before midnight. Is that enough, or should I go on? Ugh!

The room got pretty warm during the heatwave, but it was still comfortable overall and made for a positive stop on our Camino. We were there for our honeymoon, and the hotel owners treated us so kindly. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Thanks for having us!

I stayed in Louro in a private room with a shared bathroom, and it was a really good choice. The host, papa, mama, and their son were all so welcoming and kind, and made me feel at home. The pilgrim dinner was super tasty, and everything at Louro was clearly beyond what I'd expected.

We stumbled on this place and took a private room with a shared bathroom. The linens really need replacing, and the bathroom was in bad shape: the shower door was broken and water splashed everywhere. There was a very unpleasant sewer smell in the room I was given. The older man who manages the place could use a lesson in hospitality.
