The room was clean and pretty good, with the sort of amenities you’d expect from a three-star place. There’s no fridge or free water, though, and the reception isn’t staffed around the clock, even if someone can be reached and remote check-in is available after 9 pm. The underground parking entrance is tight with a large car, but manageable. Breakfast was the weakest part. At €6.50 per person we weren’t expecting much, and there really wasn’t much choice. The room felt cramped and hot, with no windows. Fine for a night at a fair price, but I wouldn’t pick it for a longer stay. I can’t really recommend the hotel, and I didn’t see much reason to spend longer in this very small town beyond visiting the castle.

The bathroom was great, with a huge shower. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work especially well, and a drainage pump had been added after a leak had evidently damaged the wall and door. It kicked in every 5-10 minutes overnight, which was really annoying.

Our room was spacious and clean, and we really liked the little balcony. The seven-head shower was very nice, too. The Palace of Olite is close by, and since the town is so small, everything is nearby. Nobody was at the concierge desk when we arrived, but there’s a call button to reach someone who can check you in.

We could walk to the picturesque town centre from this comfortable hotel, and there was off-street parking too.

The only letdown was breakfast, which felt mediocre for the €8.50 price (as of April 2026). Otherwise, this was a lovely place in the old town, in a former 18th-century manor just steps from the main square and castle. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a small sitting area and its own terrace. Private underground parking is available, though getting into it can be tricky because the street is so narrow.
