Hotel Font Salada

From the reception team to the waiters, everyone did a great job during our family event at Villa Emilia hotel. The food at Ullal del Burro restaurant was excellent too, congratulations to the whole team! I'd highly recommend it for any kind of event or a truly lovely getaway.

We were the first table of the day, yet several appetizers were supposedly already unavailable. They hadn't mentioned when we booked by phone that rice dishes needed to be ordered in advance, so our attempt to order à la carte failed and we ended up with the set menu. The woman taking orders had praised it as exquisite when we arrived, but it was expensive at 30 euros without drinks and the portions were meager. The two shared appetizers were small, the dessert was an assortment of cakes whether you liked it or not, and the soupy rice was tasty though not creamy. Service was slow and poor, probably because they were understaffed. This happened on both of our visits, in different years, so we won't be back. It's a shame because the place itself is lovely, with access to a pool and a great outdoor area. Everyone seemed to be complaining about the same thing, and the restaurant needs to rethink things. I absolutely don't recommend it.

They charged us €200 for meat that was overcooked and tasted sour, then gave us a "favor" of just 10% off. I saw the cooking area, where the meat was left in the sun on filthy cutting boards. The food wasn't refrigerated at all. Terrible experience.

We had the goat cheese salad and tellinas. I don't usually eat shellfish, but gave them a try and liked them. The woman serving us was very friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The place itself is lovely and well maintained.
