La Promesa is a nice place to stay, with friendly, helpful owners and reasonable prices. The gardens are lovely and the pool is sparkling. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and well equipped. Just to be clear, it’s room only: there’s no food or breakfast, but you can prepare your own meals.

John and Jolande are lovely people and wonderful hosts. I spent 9 nights at La Promesa, a real home from home with a little paradise feel. The location, views, facilities and atmosphere were all fabulous, and the attention to detail made it even better. I can’t recommend it enough.

La Promesa made a great base for trips to Valencia, Alicante, Altea and other places. We had such lovely days there, with wonderful care and hospitality, and everything was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended. Thanks, John and Jolande, and see you next time! Greetings from Enkhuizen!

The owners were friendly, and the room was lovely, with a beautiful view. Everything was very clean, and the pool was lovely and fully equipped. Oliva village is within walking distance, while the lovely beach is a 10-minute drive away. The only downside was the mosquitoes, though that was because it had rained.

La Promesa is a beautiful, unusual place with plenty of streets to wander and historical sites to see, so I didn’t find it boring at all. There are lots of hotels to choose from, and prices are very reasonable. I recommend it.
