We only lasted one night of the three we booked, arriving on 11.07.2023, and paid about €400 out of pocket to move to a nicer hotel nearer the center with better hospitality. Expedia later refunded €200 for the trouble, but the owner offered nothing. We would never have booked had the advertised facilities been accurate. The place is a long way from the city, with only 3-5 buses a day. After a 24 hour flight, we were told the restaurant didn’t exist, so we waited an hour for a 20 minute bus ride into town to find food. By dinner time the buses had stopped, and we needed another taxi. There’s no local food nearby. The advertised airport and city shuttle wasn’t available either, despite our contacting the property from Australia beforehand to ask for it. A taxi cost €40 Euro. WiFi didn’t work during the 24 hours we were there. The owner called it “temperamental,” but it would’ve been clearer to say there was no working WiFi. The ad also claims there’s a restaurant and shuttle service. I found the owner rude and dishonest, and feel the listing misrepresented the place badly. Please read the 1 star reviews carefully, and don’t stay here.

Getting into pamploma without a car is difficult, and there’s no local food or restaurant nearby. The hotel only serves dinner if you give 2 day notice, and you’re charged if you eat in your room. There was nowhere to sit outside because the garden was closed. There’s no front desk or staff on sight, and although I paid for a private bathroom, it was separate from the room.

The shower water was very hard and left my hair and skin feeling poorly cared for. Also, don’t book here for the San Fermin festival. It’s too far away, with only two buses a day to get back. Similar rooms within Pamplona are easy to find and this place isn’t worth the price. The owner advertises features the building doesn’t have, including parking. I found him friendly only when I didn’t speak English.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and both visits were lovely. The Casa is finished and maintained to a very high standard, with friendly, attentive hosts and delicious fresh home cooking. I’d happily recommend it.

With a car, this could be a lovely place to stay. But the hotel doesn’t have the facilities advertised online, and the pleasant setting doesn’t make that false advertising okay.
