Albergue el Descanso del Hacedor

It was our first night in Spain, and the comparable was later. This place became a favourite on our trip around Europe. I’d love to go back.

The house is cosy and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. The owner is really friendly. I plan to come back!

The owner has given the place a distinctive charm, despite the initial disappointment. She’s friendly, always smiling, and quick to help if you need anything. There’s everything you need, including a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with plenty of hot water. It’s also a spot without light pollution, perfect for stargazing. A truly excellent choice.

We were delayed involuntarily, but the welcome was unpleasant and the hostess was incredibly rude. She said it wasn’t normal for a child to run and shout, so I wouldn’t recommend going with children. The rooms were neglected and full of cobwebs. The old blankets were covered in her dog’s hair, it was freezing, and the bathrooms were filthy and old. There was only one hot shower for four of us. I’d never return. The only saving grace, more or less, was the woman who served us breakfast. The biggest problem with the hospitality industry is that anyone can open their house and start renting it out.
