Santa Cruz Hotel

We ate well here, with croquettes, Galician soup, and chicken escallope among the dishes. The cafe serves light meals, while the restaurant room at the back is where you can have dinner. There's also a terrace facing the front. The owners provided great service. Our twin room was a decent size and looked out to the rear, so traffic noise wasn't an issue. There was no air conditioning, but a large fan was provided. The shower room had towels and toiletries. It's a roadside hotel.

The staff were lovely, and the rooms were spotless with comfortable beds. It's handy for the Camino Inglés, the food was excellent, and there was a swimming pool too. Recommended.

Hot water was available at any hour, which made washing our laundry easy. They also offer a laundry service. We had lovely big towels, warm rooms, comfortable beds, and everything was spotless. Beth was very good value for money. This family run hostal has no frills, but we got a warm, honest welcome, home cooked food, smiles, and friendly words. We communicated in Spanish, and they were always ready to help with some English as well. The staff were caring and attentive to details, and the service was great. It's a perfect stop on the Camino Inglés, even though it's a little off the route. Thoroughly recommend it, especially if you're walking on beyond Santiago.

The churrasco at the restaurant was good. My room was below road level, with access through a patio. The reception was OK, the room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Wifi worked too.
