The pool staff were friendly and cheerful, but the pool itself closed early in the evening and opened late. The hotel is nice, though I don't think it deserves four stars, maybe it used to. Wi-Fi was practically unusable, very slow. The room carpets don't add anything, and the beautiful stone walls deserve better. I'd replace the bathroom curtain with a proper door. Parking is limited or unavailable, so be patient. Some hotel staff seemed grumpy, check-in closes early in the evening, and breakfast is very expensive.

The building has an impressive history, and its setting on the town square of Oruña makes a great base for Bilbao or Vitoria. Parking was easy, with shops and bars close by. The staff were warm and helpful, especially Jefferson and Cameira, who looked after us well during our three-day stay. The rooms were comfortable, larger than usual, and well equipped, though they could use more lighting. I especially liked the spacious bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was excellent, probably one of the most varied I've seen in a hotel of this size and type. We had a great stay and recommend it. We'll be back soon.

The spa and restaurant were excellent, and the staff made the place for us. They went above and beyond to meet our requests. It's a unique hotel in a perfect location.

The room was clean and really comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. The restaurant was unfortunately closed, though breakfast was good. The hotel reception was extremely helpful. Thanks ⭐️

The dinner was poor, and the room could have been warmer. It was comfortable, though the lighting wasn't enough. The old building has been renovated beautifully.
