The beach bar is a great addition, with great service and very reasonable prices. You can rent parasols and sunbeds, and there are toilets and lockers too. Absolutely fantastic. You can buy drinks to take back to your parasol in plastic cups, with a small deposit. Live bands play in front of the bar at weekends.
In my opinion, this is the best beach in the area. The sand is clean, soft, and fine, and the water is beautifully clear. There are few rocks, so the sea is usually calm, though small fish may nibble at your feet. We found plenty of sunbeds on a busy day in September. I’m not sure what it’s like at the height of summer.
This is our favourite beach. The sea can have some quite strong currents, so keep an eye on young children. Lifeguards are usually on watch to warn people when there are problems. For food and drinks, the beach bar (cheringuito ) and Miranda restaurant are both great.
Restaurants are close by, and it’s a great beach for kids, though it can get crowded. There can also be big waves and currents, so little children may need supervision. Lifeguards patrol on a jet ski too. Good luck finding parking.
A fine Spanish breakfast before 11 for €5, with a fabulous setting to watch the waves crash. There’s also a free Zuma dance class with lively music. You can join in or just watch. Any morning here feels uplifting, and the place is absolutely buzzing.
