Aparthotel Diamant Blue

We were charged twice, and when we called about a refund, the manager spoke to us aggressively. The bathroom window wouldn’t close, and the shower kept falling off the wall. The mattresses were disgusting. The TV didn’t work, there were no towels, iron, or soap and shampoo as advertised, and the old fridge was rusty. The sofa had white stains all over it, hidden under a cover.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location made it easy to get to bars, restaurants, and scooter rentals. Our stay in La Zenia was lovely. The hotel had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a TV, a kitchen, and a balcony, so we had what we needed for a comfortable stay. We recommend it. It was very nice and in a great location.

The location is ideal, but the bathroom toilet switch and shower holder were broken. Check-in took over an hour, even though there were only a couple and three gentlemen sharing a room. That’s unacceptable.

After our flight was delayed, we reached the hotel after 1:00 AM and found the doors shut. There were two phone numbers posted, but nobody answered. We tried calling and messaging on WhatsApp again and again, with no reply. With our two little kids, aged 3 and 5, we ended up sleeping in a small car. We kept trying the doors overnight. At one point they opened, but there was nobody at reception, so there was no safety for anyone inside. A very sleepy lady appeared at 7:00 AM. She spoke only Russian, no English or Spanish, and used Google Translate. It took about an hour to understand that she had been waiting for us until midnight, but the apartment still wasn’t ready when we met. She told us to come back after 10:00 AM. I explained what we’d been through, but she kept saying she couldn’t keep people at work 24 hours a day. I understood she was the business owner. When we returned at 10:00, another Russian lady was there. She spoke Spanish and said she was the cleaner, but the apartment needed cleaning and wouldn’t be ready for at least another hour and a half. We contacted Agoda, who were very helpful. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the lady who helped us. Agoda canceled the reservation, refunded the money, and gave us another 10% as an apology. We quickly booked somewhere else through Agoda. On the way to the new address, we got a call from Diamant Blue saying the apartment was ready, after 13:00. I’ll never go back. I’ll look for more reviews next time.
