Apartamento Jardines del Mar REF 010

Parking was easy to find around the area. The building is fairly new and has a pool, which was busy when we visited on a Saturday. There are lots of apartments, and the pool is a decent size. We asked in advance if we could stay a few extra hours and offered to pay, but they said no. The apartment had no hot water or microwave, the breaker tripped whenever we turned on the air conditioning, and the sofa bed smelled odd. It might work if you don't plan to spend much time inside.

There were no curtains, so we had no privacy, and we only got half a roll of toilet paper for two days. The bathroom was tiny, with a weak shower and a loose drain. The living room sofa was old and looked dirty. This shabby apartment is in Marina D'or. We couldn't sleep in the double bed because its spring mattress was so noisy. We moved to the other room, where the single beds were nothing special but at least didn't creak when we shifted. They charged a €100 deposit and didn't return it when we handed over the keys. They said it'd come back sometime that day, and for us it took eight hours. When we mentioned the bed to the receptionist, she said they'd look into it. From the Booking.com reviews, though, it seems to be a regular complaint. I'd never have paid €254 for two nights if I'd read those reviews first. The quality doesn't match the price.

The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean. Still, there was only half a roll of toilet paper for all six of us. Picking up the keys meant going to an office some distance away, and the apartment was difficult to locate. They should take guests there.

We paid €65 a night for four people, but got just one bar of soap and a tiny shampoo for everyone. The apartment smelled musty and was dusty, as if nobody had aired it out before we arrived. The bathroom wasn't memorable, and the bed could use an upgrade. Parking was included, though the remote didn't work for the assigned spot. We called, got moved to another space, and waited quite a while before the remote worked there either. The location is enviable, with a sea view from the apartment.
