The apartment itself looked lovely, but the basics let it down. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows only just adequate, and there were no cleaning supplies. The travel cot was €8 a day, yet came without sheets or a pillow, and its sagging mattress felt unstable and smelled strongly of fried food. At least there was air conditioning. The fridge barely cooled, though. A little more investment in the apartments would make a big difference.

The kitchen is still leaking water and we have no idea why. The shower curtain is filthy, and nobody has told us they're fixing anything. I’ve taken photos of it all, so please don’t say this is being dealt with when it isn’t. After your response, I felt I had to show what we’re dealing with: dust all over the air conditioner blades and inside the unit, a table coming apart, dirty bathroom and shower curtains, and kitchen cutlery and utensils in a disgraceful state. We’re still being told to leave the apartment as we found it, but we’re not slobs, and that’s impossible when we found it like this. This is Acapulco Apartments 1, to be exact. We came on holiday hoping to relax, but ended up cleaning because the place was so dirty. The ceiling fans were covered in dust, half the kitchen utensils were sticky, and the shower curtain was rotten and sticky. The shower tap was broken, so it was impossible to shower properly. The bedside lamps and bathroom mirror lights didn’t work. We went out for a walk and came back to a puddle on the kitchen floor, with no idea where it came from. The lift was broken, though thankfully there’s one in the neighboring building. The pool is open from 10 am to 9 pm, and most of the loungers are broken. They expect you to leave the apartment as clean as you found it. Honey, that’s not possible, and we’re not slobs. I feel sorry for whoever comes next, because I doubt they’ll have a peaceful holiday. We won’t be back, and I don’t recommend it. We’ve been coming for three years and never seen anything like this. It’s disgraceful.

The owners were so kind and accommodating, and we had a wonderful stay. The apartment, its view, and the location were all perfect. I’d definitely recommend it. Everything was superb.
