We'd stayed here twice before, but this was our last visit. The ground-floor apartment seemed convenient with children, but the bars on every window and door were badly rusted, and the tiny patio was a mess. Inside, the place was run down, with broken furniture that hadn't been repaired and mattresses so bad their springs dug into our backs. Midway through the stay, water pooled in the living room. Maintenance came quickly, but sealing a corner of the wall with silicone didn't solve the problem. They offered a better apartment, but with just one night remaining, we chose to go home instead of packing up and risking another place in similar shape. Then the sink clogged before we left and stayed that way. We wouldn't return even for free.

The apartment was reasonably clean, which is the one positive. For six people, they provided just one small towel, no dishcloth or sponges, and a single roll of toilet paper for two days. The pool felt like a public one. If you're sleeping on the sofa bed, bring an air mattress if you can.

The air conditioner leaked, its cover was broken, and the tiles were cracked. That came on top of a dreadful stay. The first year we went, the apartment was filthy. The second year it looked somewhat cleaner, but using the air conditioning in mid-August meant we couldn't cook or switch anything else on without tripping the power. On the first night we had no electricity for nearly an hour before anyone answered the phone, and we had a small child with us. They wouldn't move us to another apartment, even though the meter was the problem. The power kept cutting in and out every day. They'd told us to contact them directly the following year for a better deal than Booking.com and a discount for the trouble. Instead, they wanted more than double, offered no discount, and didn't seem interested in renting to us. A complete disaster and disappointment. If you read this, you'll know who I am.

The mattresses were thin, and the place felt dirty and neglected. The pool was packed, with barely any shade and no loungers. The area was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. I don't think I'd come back.
