Motel Venus La Coruna

We stayed in room 123, and it was a very expensive stay for what we got. The room itself was awful. We asked for a non-smoking room, but they didn't give us one, and the pillows looked as if someone had just used them. The bathroom was filthy: the toilet hadn't been cleaned, there was hair in the bidet, and the tub smelled of sewage. The mirror was dirty, with writing from other guests still visible. There wasn't even a power outlet on one side of the bed.

The facilities were fine, and I was planning to leave a positive review. That changed because the receptionists were disrespectful and contemptuous. I feel they judged the situation based on the kind of people who usually stay at this motel, and treated other types of people better. I'll never return, especially not while on vacation. Also, don't leave anything in your room: it becomes their property. I had to travel more than 700 km to get my things back. They ask for your account number when you book, yet say they're “not authorized” to take money from it. Well, they weren't authorized to keep my silver earrings or charger either.

The rooms have a musty smell, even though they're fairly clean, and the Wi-Fi was nowhere to be found. The TV is huge, though. This place was much better a couple of years ago.

The Venus suite was a dream. It was spotless and really beautiful, and the decor was lovely. The window, which you can't see in the photos, gives you great views. The TV is enormous, like a cinema screen, and the bed is big and super comfortable. There's also a really cool mirror on the ceiling. The bathroom is lovely, and the whirlpool tub fits two and is very comfortable. The service was incredibly friendly, and they treated us so well. Cleanliness gets a 10/10 too. I'd repeat the experience, it went way beyond what I expected.
