The room was tidy, the internet was fast, and the staff were pleasant and smiley. The hotel is in the town centre, above the train station, and I couldn’t hear the trains. The busy road beside the station, though, was noticeable even with the windows and curtains shut. I also heard noise and knocks from the room next door, despite seeing claims on some websites that the rooms were very well soundproofed. There was no tea or coffee machine in the room, which was a bit disappointing, though coffee at the bar was reasonably priced. Breakfast cost too much. There was a noticeable language barrier: none of the reception staff seemed to speak an international language, even at a basic level. When visiting well-known places like a Marriott hotel, it would be good if staff could at least understand basic English.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was quite good. The staff were very attentive, and the hotel is right in the heart of downtown.

The rooms are just okay if all you need is the bare minimum, like a coffee machine. The hotel sits on top of the train station, so you’ll hear trains. And if you don’t speak Spanish, you may want to avoid it: the staff make little effort to understand your order and are barely polite.

The location is great, right by the train and bus stations and plenty of restaurants. Front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and the sauna was a nice extra. Coffee and water, though, were often in need of service. The rooms feel a little dated, with outlets only on one side of the two twin beds, which are very close together. The bathroom was a good size, but, like many European showers, it splashed water everywhere.
