The location was great, just outside the busiest downtown area with its drunk people and loud noise. The hotel was convenient and affordable, and breakfast had a few choices that we still enjoyed. Our Economy Room was comfortable enough for a few days, but the layout didn't offer much privacy: the shower was transparent and right in front of the room. Outside noise also came through, with no soundproofing. All four doors are next to each other, and the system means they slam whenever someone comes in, which got really inconvenient. During Christmas week, some people with bad manners talked loudly at 1am and 4am, waking us each time they were around. I'd recommend the rooms above Economy.

The shower was awful, and the Wi-Fi didn't work for me at all. I also missed having a proper nightstand, since I like to keep a portable fan there for noise and airflow.

This is a gorgeous, modern hotel with a classy, low-key style, set in a tiny town overlooking magnificent mountains. It makes an excellent base for mountain excursions and is just over an hour's drive from vibrant Oviedo in Asturias. It would pair fabulously with the Luxury Transcantabrico Train, a one-week dream trip through northern Spain.

The hotel has a modern, classy feel without being flashy, and looks out over magnificent mountains from a tiny town. A gorgeous place to use as a base for mountain excursions.
