The proprietor was kind about checkout and gave us very clear instructions for staying there. I imagine she’d be responsive if something went wrong, but we didn’t have any problems to ask about. There’s no receptionist, daily housekeeping, or hotel desk service, which suited us as independent travelers who like the privacy and flexibility. We really liked the location. It’s about a five-minute walk from the train station, with shops, grocery stores, and restaurants all around, and it’s easy to walk to sights from there. The apartment has put a lot of thought into traveler comfort. Our basic room was comfortable and had its own bathroom, extra blankets, individually wrapped toothbrushes, a modern TV for streaming accounts, and a big desk. The shared kitchen is well stocked with almost everything you might need, including an immersion blender and toaster, plus two fridges, an oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The silverware drawer is tucked in one of the cabinets and could be easy to miss. There’s also a common room with seating and a dining table, as well as another table in the kitchen. There’s no TV in the common room, so you can watch in your room or go to one of the restaurants or bars showing the game. For laundry, there are two washers, a dryer, drying rack, irons, and ironing boards. I can see this working well for a longer stay, pilgrims, or people arriving by train. Parking was our one snag. There’s no parking at the property, even though Booking.com lists parking under facilities. If you open the details, it says there’s parking nearby. We parked at the train station for €18 a day, which I believe is the lot the listing means. It’s a good, convenient lot and very close. The rain was coming down hard, though, and there isn’t really a place to unload luggage unless you’re quick and your companion carries it in. Still, I’d stay here again. Not having dedicated parking isn’t a drawback for me. For anyone new to traveling in Spain, all travelers have to provide ID and information when staying anywhere, including hotels, Airbnb, and hostels. That information is required by local authorities, it’s not the proprietor being nosy.
