The hotel has been remodeled and feels fresh and clean. It could have been amazing, but the staff seemed completely indifferent. They weren’t rude, just didn’t engage or show much care. The food was perhaps a little better than terrible, which didn’t help. I’ve rarely stayed in such a beautiful hotel with service this poor. Whoever runs it has created a culture that feels entirely at odds with good service.

The room had a large terrace with a full table and chairs. Even with other buildings all around, it still got plenty of light and breeze. The staff were on top of every detail, and the front desk helped with our luggage and suggested three excellent restaurants. A lovely hotel.

The shower smelled bad, and water flooded across the floor. I was also put in a street-level room behind the hotel, where I could hear everything outside. On arrival I had to wait until 15:00, even though the room was obviously ready earlier. A very bad experience. I don’t recommend it.

The hotel looks nice and has been renovated, but the climate system didn’t work, so it was impossible to get warm in the room. It was very cold in winter. Breakfast was poor: they turned off the coffee machine because we were a large group. There were fried eggs, cheap sausages, some cheese and ham, and no vegetables at all.

The beds were comfortable, and the location was beautiful and quiet, except on Sunday morning when an outdoor market sets up outside. I couldn’t figure out how the on-site dining worked. The receptionist couldn’t explain it, and I wasn’t able to eat at the restaurant, though they were serving a large group.
