Flor los Almendros Hotel

The location and breakfast were good, and my friend had a larger room with a sea view and none of the issues I had. In my room, the air conditioning didn't work, so I had to choose between sweating with the window shut or dealing with mosquitoes if I opened it. There were no light curtains, which meant I either had to put up with no sunlight or keep saying hi to the neighbours on their balconies whenever I crossed the room. They seemed to spend a lot of time outside. One other caution: the floors in the rooms and shared areas get very slippery after wet cleaning, which could be dangerous for older people.

The location is hard to beat: shops and restaurants are right outside on the main street, and there is a private path from the hotel building to the beach. The complex also has a small gym, laundry facilities, bars and a nice breakfast area. I was very impressed with what was on offer for the price. The hotel and grounds were much better maintained than I expected, and the room for one person was plenty big enough. The bathroom was okay, although the shower leaked. Pressure and heat were excellent. Air conditioning and a good-sized mini fridge were welcome bonuses. Cleaning was excellent, with environmental signs to show when bedding and towels should be changed. Everyone I dealt with on staff was great. This was a fantastic short break, and I'm already looking to return before the season ends. I'd definitely recommend it.

Our street-facing room was clean and had everything we needed, and the pools were nice. The noise at night and early in the morning was too much. Parking was another challenge since it fills up very quickly.

The hotel's location made everything easy, with the bus stop, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and beach all just a short walk away. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always checking that we had what we needed. Our room at Flor Los Almendros was very clean and well equipped, with hand soap, bath wash and a hair dryer. Clean, fresh-smelling towels were brought every day. We had a wonderful time in Peguera and I totally recommend staying here.
