Club Hotel Drago Park

The food was really tasty, although there wasn’t much variety, and I loved the fantastic view from the bar. Those were the bright spots in a disappointing week. The cocktails were impossible to drink. The spirits listed as tequila, gin, and similar seemed to be some unidentified alcohol instead, and the strong drinks and house wines were poor quality. Our room had a damp smell that made it hard to breathe, and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. The old room needs renovation, the soundproofing was terrible, and using the shower flooded the floor because water went through the glass wall and into the room. There were also lots of little ants living inside the sofa. We chose the hotel after reading good reviews, but the reality was a complete letdown. I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t want your vacation spoiled.

We had a relaxing week here. The beach is a bonus, about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel was spotless, our room was very spacious, and the staff were always happy to help. The food was okay, and we never went hungry. There wasn’t a fridge in the room to keep water or milk cold, but we managed.

Costa Calma is quiet, which suited us for a peaceful week based at the hotel. There isn’t much right nearby, as we knew before booking, but the lovely sandy beach is only a 15 minute stroll away. Bring goggles or snorkels, there are amazing fish around the rocks without having to swim far out. The pool area and grounds were beautifully kept, with lush flowers and plants everywhere. The whole hotel was spotless too, rooms cleaned daily and staff constantly tending to the shared spaces and buffet during dinner. There was a wide choice of delicious food, including something fresh on the grill each day, like chicken, fish, or steak. We kept coming back to the salads, but there was also pizza, pasta, chips, burgers, stews, rice, fruit, desserts, and ice cream. The animation team offered a nice range of activities through the day, and we all loved Linda. No idea where she gets her energy, she was on top form all day and brought infectious enthusiasm to everything. The kids’ club gave the little ones a couple of hours away with different crafts and activities each day. We had a great stay and would happily recommend it.

The food was delicious, the pool lovely and relaxing, and there were always plenty of sunbeds. We stayed for a week in mid-September with our two-year-old, in a family room, and had a great holiday. The staff and animation team worked hard to look after everyone, and when we reported a room issue it was fixed within minutes. We knew the location wasn’t ideal, so we rented a car for the week. The hotel could use a renovation, but the friendly welcome, good food and excellent value made it easy to overlook a few things. Many thanks!
