ROBINSON ESQUINZO PLAYA - All Inclusive

We've lost count of how many times we've visited, and it always feels like coming home. We had an exceptional Easter holiday here and loved the food, entertainment for every age, and the sports activities. Everything was outstanding. Leaving this little paradise is always hard.

I enjoyed the gym sessions and training, and the food was good, though not great. My kids, aged 12 and 15, were disappointed by the entertainment and activities on offer. The club felt old and worn, especially the room buildings, which badly need painting in several areas. For the price, I wasn't especially impressed. Robinson usually sets a high standard, but this visit felt overpriced even by the already high rates at this kind of club. We booked late for the autumn holidays, which may explain the cost. We won't return next year, though perhaps we'll try another club.

We asked for a quiet room and got one. We slept really well, and the adults-only area was excellent, with no children bothering us while we sunbathed. The food was high quality, more like a good Magic Life than the newer Robinsons such as Crete, and that suited us fine. The rooms definitely aren't five-star, and the hotel is old, but the cleaning staff were super friendly and kept everything immaculate every day. I also have to mention the barman at the adult pool. I don't know his name, but he's the one with a beard and face piercings. He has a brilliant attitude and gives excellent service, a first-class Robinson employee. Truly excellent hotel. The rooms were very clean, and there was loads of food to choose from. I was here alone for a week and never felt left out. Other guests would happily join me for a drink or a meal, and the staff kept everyone entertained in the evenings, especially the families. Alianna at reception brought great energy, the wellness centre team were lovely, and the wine ladies in the restaurant were great too. Keep an eye out for “grumpy grandad”, he’s pure gold. The whole team went out of their way to make my stay feel special. Thanks again to Leonard and his team.
