SBH Taro Beach Hotel

Right on the beach, this is a lovely hotel with comfortable, adequate rooms, though there's no tea or coffee setup in them. All-inclusive food and drinks had a great range of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was a little weak in our room, but worked okay in most of the main areas.

The garden areas are charming, and the hotel has direct access to the beach. Staff were kind and friendly throughout, greeting us with warm smiles, and service was outstanding. We had a wonderful stay, and the restaurant was very good, especially breakfast. One suggestion about the food: it would be great to have hamburgers and hot dogs available for kids all the time. They're inexpensive, and children love them. Sometimes food was left untouched, so replacing some of those items with more child-friendly choices might work well. The restaurant was enjoyable overall. I rated the hotel 4.5 instead of 5 because kid-friendly options were limited and the rooms and whole building could use renovation.

The location is great, but this definitely isn't a 4-star hotel. The rooms are very dated, and the food is repetitive and not very good. We also had ants in our room, along with a cockroach.

The food was the best I've had at any of the hotels I've stayed in, and the beach bar was a nice place to sit in the shade and enjoy the sea view. The hotel itself has great views and easy beach access. Staff across the bar, kitchen and restaurant were friendly and polite, always trying to make the stay enjoyable. Reception were especially caring when I felt unwell and did what they could to help. There wasn't enough space by the pool for everyone to get a sun lounger. There's no kettle in the room, though reception will provide one if you ask. The entertainment team was great during the day, but the bar could feel pretty boring in the evenings. I was unwell for the last few days, but it was still an amazing holiday and I'd definitely return ☺️
