AJ-21 Calella de Palafrugell

The campground was fairly full but still quiet, and there was a lovely walk to the beach and nearby town. The facilities were the cleanest I've ever seen at a campsite anywhere in the world. Someone was cleaning all day and into the evening, and you wouldn't even find sand on the floor. A fantastic campground in a great location.

The pitches are a good size and have natural shade, and there's a great little shop and gorgeous bakery. We love staying here in our caravan and, over the past 20 years, we've never been disappointed. The toilet blocks always have plenty of hot water and are extra clean, as is the site, including the pool area. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is fairly basic, as you'd expect at a campsite, but the quality is good.

We came at the end of May and ended up staying longer than planned because we loved it. Our campervan pitch was huge and nicely shaded, and the pool was spacious with plenty of shade too. The campsite, toilets, and showers were spotless every time I used them. The beaches, walks, and bike rides nearby are great. I’d definitely stay at camping Calella again.

The evening shows were fantastic, and there’s a lot here for a family holiday. The pool area is great, though a few more slides would give the kids more to do. The caravans are fine, with pretty small beds, but that’s caravan life. One thing that’s down to some other guests rather than the site is the vile language coming from a few children. Still, we had an amazing time and I’d 100% recommend it.
