The listing described a small slope up to the apartment, but that wasn’t accurate. It was at the top of a very steep hill, and anyone with mobility issues would be unable to walk up. It was so difficult that we paid extra to move somewhere at the bottom of the hill.
You can reach beaches, restaurants and lovely coastal walks within a maximum ten-minute walk, and the apartments are well placed for both Llafranc and Calella De Palafrugell. The units are basic but comfortable, clean and functional for a holiday, with balconies furnished with a table and chairs. There’s no heating, so it gets very cold inside outside the hot season. The walls are thin and you can easily hear neighbors. Bedding costs extra, and high cleaning charges are included in the rental rate.
The complex feels old and worn, and Llafranc Villas’ property management is average at best, poor at worst. Its saving grace is the location between the two villages.
A very bad experience. The apartments badly need renovating and have VERY FEW basic appliances or amenities. Bed sheets and towels aren’t included!!
The price is hard to beat in Llafranc, so it works for us, but the place is looking worn. Some of the furniture is half broken, and the bathroom could really use some attention.
