Vinya in Palafrugell

There’s parking for up to 10 cars, and the internet connection is okay at 35 Mbps. The TV only has Spanish channels. But why does this house get just 3 stars when the photos look so fantastic? Those pictures seem to be from better days, and the changes since then haven’t been improvements. The windows have no mosquito nets, some lamps are broken, and the terrace furniture is old, partly broken, and looks like it came from a recycle shop. The kitchen and bathroom are okay, though the coffee machine is small and there’s no electric kettle. The six chairs at the big table are straight and hard, like something from a monastery. The luxury seating set has two two-seater sofas, but one is more like a beanbag. There are barking dogs every night. The property needs renovating or the price should come down. It isn’t a luxury villa, more one on its way to retirement. Still, bring the missing items yourself and you can have a good holiday.
