The room itself was clean and adequate, and so was the private bathroom, which is what you'd expect for this kind of hostel. But the kitchen, the only shared space, was in an apartment split into five rooms and could barely fit three people standing. What really caught us off guard was how the receptionist treated us, and that some conditions important to us as a group were changed after we’d already arrived.

The customer service was welcoming, and the rest of the room looked spotless, which made the state of the sheets a letdown. There were stray hairs and stains that looked suspicious. Then at 11 a.m. we were jolted awake by all the banging from the supposed cleaning service. The hostel is about a 30-minute walk from the center, or 10 minutes by bus. At first the room seemed fine for a short stay. There’s also underground garage parking for €30 for two days.

The apartment was clean and the rooms were adequate, but the staff were disappointing. They gave conflicting information and changed a plan for our group that had been arranged some time earlier.

The rooms are decent, and the hostel is in a good spot on the outskirts of Pamplona. But paying the deposit took away any excitement about staying there: after that, promises were repeatedly broken and different staff contradicted each other. Before we paid, they said we could bring our bike, then later said we couldn't. They also said there'd be room in the garage for our van, but there wasn't. Get any special requests in writing, or you may be told something different later.
