Hygiene matters most, and the place simply wasn’t clean. We found hair in the shower and bathroom sinks, cobwebs, and yellowed pillows. We didn’t have time to look further, but even that was enough. The pool floor was green, so swimming wasn’t possible. The price is already high for what you get. I understand the hostel is old and the facilities may be in a certain state, and it’s in a village of 200 people, which may explain the two-star rating, but none of that excuses the lack of cleanliness. Unbelievable. I feel bad writing this because the owners were nice, but cleanliness and hygiene are essential.

The food took a long time, and we were the only ones at our table. The owner, Montse, kept talking and didn’t leave us alone for a moment. We were so annoyed that we left as soon as we could. She was tiresome and unbearable, and I wouldn’t go back.

What a rip-off, expensive and so disappointing. The room was damp and dirty, the heating worked only now and then, and there was a really unpleasant smell. We felt cheated. After seeing the state of everything, we didn’t even dare to have breakfast.

The hostel didn’t meet the basic requirements, and our stay wasn’t comfortable. The hosts, though, deserve a 10: they gave fantastic attention and worked hard to sort out all our problems.

Breakfasts felt heartwarming, like being at your grandparents’ and bringing back emotions you love to relive. The comfort and attentive service made us feel like family, and the stay was very pleasant. The only issue I’d mention is the room cleanliness, specifically the toilet. Otherwise, I’d recommend it for a few relaxing days.
