We arrived at Mas Lazuli expecting a pleasant stop, but it became one of the most unexpectedly beautiful and memorable hotels of our whole Costa Brava trip. The hills, vineyards and olive trees make the area feel like the Spanish countryside version of Tuscany, and the scenery changes so much as you travel around. The pool was a highlight, especially the green infinity pool blending into the vineyards and greenery. The whole place is quiet and relaxing, a real escape from the busier coastal towns nearby. Its earthy architecture, natural textures and neutral colors fit into the landscape so well that the hotel feels part of it. We loved the food. Meli, the on-site restaurant, had previously been Michelin-recognized, and the meal lived up to that reputation. Everything was fresh, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Breakfast was fantastic too, just right before heading out to the wine country and nearby Costa Brava villages. With fewer than 20 rooms, the hotel feels intimate. Each room has its own thoughtful design, and many have a terrace or balcony that lets you feel close to nature. The team was warm, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, even with a small staff. It's a lovely fit for couples, wine lovers, cyclists, hikers, or anyone after a peaceful countryside break in Costa Brava. Complimentary parking made it easy to explore by car. We felt calmer as soon as we got there. Mas Lazuli is beautiful, serene and so connected to its surroundings.

We arrived with 2 dogs, and everyone, including the other hotel guests, greeted them with so much warmth and love. We liked our three nights enough to extend the stay by 2 more. The staff were lovely and very attentive, and breakfast was good. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Our room was beautiful and clean, as was the well-kept boutique hotel, where there's beauty in every corner. The pool and its view were beautiful too, though the sunbeds were a little disappointing and uncomfortable. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!!

Our guests still talk about the breakfast, and they loved the hotel and its beautiful surroundings. Every detail looked lovely, from the rooms and shared spaces to the pool and garden. We spent 3 days there for our wedding last summer, and everything went brilliantly. Eduard and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to help make it our dream wedding. Thank you so much! We'd highly recommend Mas Lazuli for a holiday or a party.

I only went to the restaurant, but the hotel also looked thoughtfully cared for, with lovely design details throughout. It's in a quiet, green setting. I enjoyed the tapas and the space, especially the Cantabria anchovies with truffle butter and crunchy bread. That was my favorite tapa. I'd recommend the aubergine milanesa too. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area.

We were upgraded to a room, which we appreciated. The hotel has a modern, nice design, thoughtful little touches, and a very peaceful atmosphere. We had dinner there twice and liked the restaurant. Carla at reception and the others were very helpful. The owner just needs to take better care of the electronic items, since the room locks didn't work well and neither did the heaters. Then it would be perfect.
