Dinner was truly excellent, especially the dessert, and I enjoyed breakfast too. I was glad to reach the hotel after a very rainy day on my long-distance hike through catalunya, though it took me a while to find the entrance. Once I made contact, they showed me to a nice room with good WIFI. The couple running this cozy hotel and I didn't have much language in common, since I speak little Spanish and their English isn't great, but we got along well. There was an informative welcome brochure in Catalan about Paüls sights and nearby attractions. The hotel is in the lower part of the village, and I had a great view from my window. Then it was time for the mountains.

I'd told them I'd be arriving late in the evening, but the place was dark and locked when I got there. After the long drive, that was rough. It was too late to find somewhere else, so I slept in my van. They did give me a full refund.
