Hotel Philadelfia

You can get breakfast for €4 at the hotel desk, with a full or half toasted roll, plus juice and coffee or tea. Just ask. The hotel is on the outskirts, with easy parking, and it’s a 10-minute walk to a tram station that goes straight into town. Travel costs less with a rechargeable ticket. For the Alhambra, get off at Recogidas, then it’s a 30-minute walk to the Palace of the Justice gate, the closest one to the Nazarene palaces. Even without a ticket, you can walk around the complex and see quite a few things from outside.

Traffic noise from the busy road made it impossible to sleep, and early in the morning the workers started welding. The loud, screeching sound went on nonstop. From the moment I arrived, the noise was unbearable. Management seemed to have no control over it and clearly didn’t care about guests’ comfort. It was extremely disappointing. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want to relax.

The room smelled awful, had no proper ventilation and wasn’t clean. When I asked to switch rooms, the receptionist said they were all occupied, even though the hotel was almost empty. Her behavior was inappropriate, and I didn’t find her credible.

It was easy to find a free parking spot on the streets around the hotel, and the location near the motorway worked well for business in the area or getting around quickly. The internet was extremely fast. Staff were professional and made the stay enjoyable, even after I had to change my booking twice. The woman at reception was very nice, as was everyone else.
