Apartamentos Rurales Sierra de Béjar

We found the apartment spotless and really comfortable, with all the little things needed for an easy stay, from a toaster and blender to a diffuser hairdryer. The owners were warm and attentive when we arrived, and took time to tell us about local places to see. It's in a village with a lot of charm.

We didn't get the rest we hoped for. Noise carried clearly from the adjoining apartments, from bangs and furniture scraping to the plumbing. The apartment itself is fine, but the roads leading into the village are in very bad shape. A shame, since the stay didn't meet our expectations.

The location is fantastic, and the owners were very helpful. The town is friendly too, though there aren't any services before 10 am. Inside, sound travels between apartments, so the insulation doesn't seem very good. The spring mattresses are quite firm, and the pillows are thin.

Peñacaballera is quiet and charming, and a great base for walking, cycling, or visiting other towns. The apartments were spotless and had everything we needed. Alberto, Noelia, and their children were such wonderful hosts. We'd love to come back, and highly recommend staying here.
