Tucked into the hills of northern Spain, this wildlife park makes a lovely place to spend a day or even a week.

The owner was so warm and helpful. The cabins are set among gardens, with room to barbecue, and the location beside the park is just right. The kitchen equipment is pretty basic, though that didn't bother me. The cabins themselves are really nice.

The garden is large and peaceful, with a table and benches, so it works well for a family trip with children. The cabins are close to both the park and the lagoon, and there's private parking in this quiet area. We stayed three nights with two adults and a child. The cabins are small, but they're meant for sleeping and unwinding, and have the basics for cooking. We visited in August and would happily come back. We were also here at the end of October, which I think is the best time of year.

It's in really poor condition, with no trees, signs, or Wi-Fi. A kid has left everything broken and abandoned, taking advantage of the fact that the owner can't do anything.

Jesús was friendly and attentive to the little details. We stayed in two cabins, both well equipped and conveniently close to the park entrance. We went for a November weekend to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday, and had a wonderful time.
