The view is what makes this beach so special. The Castle seems to sit right on the water, and it's an impressive sight unlike many others in Spain. It's a long, wide beach with the usual amenities, but the water gets deep fairly quickly. A great beach, highly recommended.

The water is so clear that you can spot small and medium fish swimming around your feet. The sandy bottom feels firm and comfortable to walk on, which makes the beach feel peaceful. There's a lovely view of the old town and Peñíscola Castle, with good bars and restaurants just a short walk away. It's a superb place for a family day out, or longer. The beach alone makes this beautiful town worth visiting, and the town is amazing as well.

The water was shallow, warm, and clear, with gentle little waves. We're used to big waves in the Pacific, so it was a nice change. Even with lots of people around, the soft sand made for a perfect beach day. There are great restaurants along the shore, plus lifeguards, chairs and rentals, and paddle boards. We stayed inside the castle walls, where you CANNOT drive, so you'll need to find a space in a parking lot or the surrounding area.

Playing in the sand at a beautiful beach with an ancient castle right beside you is breathtaking. There's lots to do, including paddle board rentals, jet skis, and boat tours, and plenty of places to eat at different budgets. A must-see in the Valencian Community.
